A dot-to-dot (also called a connect-the-dots) is a simple activity or puzzle where a series of numbered or lettered dots are connected in order to reveal a picture.
Description: A dot-to-dot activity consists of scattered points on a page, each labeled with a number (1, 2, 3, etc.) or sometimes letters (A, B, C, etc.). The person connects the dots sequentially by drawing lines from one dot to the next. As the sequence is completed, a hidden image or shape gradually appears—such as an animal, object, or scene.
Purpose and benefits:
Helps develop hand-eye coordination
Improves number or alphabet recognition
Encourages concentration and sequencing skills
Often used as an educational and recreational activity for children
Example: A page might have dots numbered 1 to 50. When all the dots are connected in order, they form a picture of a star, a car, or an animal.
